- disability training for all staff
- collections of toys for children with special needs
- books, braille books, high interest - low difficulty books for children with special needs
- parenting books related to children with special needs
- a range of computer software and hardware to assist with accessibility
- class visits of children with special needs
- parent and professional support groups, workshops and presentations
- Club Wonder program for younger children. Held once a month, with a rotating focuses on art, music, play or sensory storytime.
- Rainbow Therapy program held once a month. The program involves therapy dog.
- a new Friendhip Club. A social group for 11 to 16 year olds with special needs.
- Skokie Public Library website provides very useful resources for support with access for children with special needs; including an online social story.
