I was extremely fortunate that one of the quarterly meetings was held during my stay in Chicago.
I was invited to attend and to present at the meeting. This was a wonderful opportunity to meet other librarians with an interest in programs and services for children with special needs. It was also great to see how well the group functioned, its role and how the members support each other. The afternoon was spent in training with a play therapist from an organisation that specialise in play with children who have special needs, Lekotek.
